Chili With Pinto Bean Recipe
1 pound lean hamburger
2 cups dried organic pinto beans
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup sliced celery
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1 clove garlic, pressed
1 Tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
Dash pepper
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 can 16 oz. diced tomatoes
1 can 8 oz tomato sauce
Cook pinto beans for 2 minutes, then soak for 1 hour, drain and add 4 1/2 cups water in a 4-quart pot and simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until beans are tender.
Brown hamburger with garlic, celery, green pepper, onion.
Add hamburger mixture and all the remaining ingredients into beans.
Continue to simmer for 1 hour.
